Ivybridge Town
runners-up in the League on two occasions,
and have won both the Charity Shield and
the most prestigious Cup competition in
Devon, the Premier Cup.
HISTORY
Ivybridge Town Football Club was founded
in 1925 and has been a member of the
Plymouth and District League since
1926/27. Throughout that time the club has
run various teams in Senior (men’s) football.
Ivybridge Town also won the Plymouth &
District Combination League Premier
Division in 2003/04.
The club has won many honours during
that time, including the Senior Victory Cup
and League, and have been runners-up of
both the Premier and Division 1 Leagues.
In addition to the Senior set-up at Ivybridge
Town, the club also have a Junior section.
Ivybridge Town Juniors was founded in
2004 and currently run five youth teams
ranging from Under-9 Mini-Soccer through
to an Under-13s Girls team.
In 1992/93 the club made the decision to
move into the newly formed Devon County
League, originally called the “Westward
Developments Devon League”, and later
known as the Axworthys’ Office Supplies
Devon League.
The FA Charter Standard
Ivybridge Town Football Club has been
awarded the FA Charter Standard
Community Club status.
This proved a formidable task for the club
because they were facing sides who were
run on a semi-professional basis.
Ivybridge, along with Elmore, are one of a
small number to have achieved this status
across Devon.
