Buxs banter Cullompton had two shots on goal, one of which proved to be the winning goal – the second an excellent save made by Mooresy. We lacked ideas, effort, and desire. But, to be fair, Cully were the better side on the night. Most of the second half was spent retrieving the ball from out of play. Ten minutes could have been added on, as it seems they had only one match ball available!!! I’m not making an excuse, but we can ill afford to have players missing – we were without Harris, Tricker, Humphreys, and Blake, while Skinner, because of work commitments, was unable to get there in time for kick off. We need a settled group of players with competition for starting places in the side. I am at present trying to bring in a few new faces, but it is not easy at this stage of the season – it seems there is a shortage of players who are willing to travel to Elmore and to away games. Andy Rogers is banned along with Mike Humphreys for today’s game, Steve Harris is still unwell and Liam Thomas is unavailable. On the bright side Tom Tricker and James Skinner will start.
