Each year, Bridge in the Middle
brings you intriguing articles
written not only by featured
speakers
at
the
annual
conference,
but
also
by
educators just like you. This
year is certainly no exception as
this edition runs the gamut of
middle school issues, including mediating
conflict, personal finance education, and taking
care of our own professional well-being.
As we look toward our annual January
gathering, we ask that you consider getting
involved with ELMLE in a number of ways
including writing an article for ELMLE News,
attending or facilitating our job-alike sessions or
even applying to become the newest member of

our Steering Committee. The committee works
tirelessly to promote middle level education and
professional development for internationally-
minded educators through organising our yearly
conference.
It’s been an absolute privilege to work
with an outstanding group of fellow middle
school minds over the last six years and the
tradition of raising a toast to “The League!” will
be terribly missed. Finally, I would like to
express my profound appreciation to the
American School of Warsaw for supporting me in
this worthy endeavour. Enjoy this year’s
conference!
