A review of literature revealed that limited
attention had been devoted to topics focusing on
Kenyan Immigrant students. Most of the past
research concentrated on other ethnic groups like the
Hispanics and Asians (Goyette & Xie, 1999; Zhou,
1997). The conclusions drawn from these researches
were found to have been different for each of the
group studied and sometimes yielded conflicting
results even within the same group (Kao, Tienda &
