What is the DPYC?

The Council for Developing Positive Youth Culture is an ad hoc committee with a mission to create and sustain a positive culture for Ellington's youth through collaboration among the community, schools, and town agencies.

Membership includes key stakeholders from Ellington's town agencies, schools, and community. Representatives are appointed to the council and meet on a bi-monthly basis throughout the year.

The DPYC receives town funding and uses the money to initiate or support a variety of community and school programs.

We have a few spots open for parent representatives on the DPYC. If you are interested in serving on this council, please contact Diane Lasher-Penti at [email protected] or call 860-870-3130.

The DPYC supports and funds the Youth Services' Decide to Be Kind Initiative!
