Letlive are somewhat of a force to be reckoned with , their stage presence is pretty unparalleled . From the moment they step out onstage , they ’ re unstoppable , shooting the sold out crowd a vast selection from their back catalogue with an onslaught of heavy hitting riffs and the addition of seeing vocalist Jason Butler throwing himself around the stage like some kind of rag doll . Most pertinently , Butler is a wordsmith - you hear it in his lyrics - it is displayed impeccably in the way that he speaks . Even when he ’ s cussing out the newest President of the United States , he is eloquent in speaking of the current generation and how it may effect them . Shows , however , usually aren ’ t for politics but Letlive have always had a slight political edge and it works for them , where it wouldn ’ t for anyone else .
That Fear Fever sees Butler throw himself into the crowd , riding the hands of those who can hold him above their heads whilst he screams out the chorus . On stage the rest of the band have room to move around recklessly , the bands signature that goes hand in hand with the fast pace of their music .
A highlight though is of , possibly their most well known track - though not a highlight for that reason - when Muther is played . It ’ s opened with a speech to the men of the audience , informing them that they should respect women to the highest caliber as men would be nowhere without them . It ’ s a strong message that seems to have gotten lost with the recent electing considering all the awful things Trump has said about women so perhaps the reminder tonight was needed . The band are then joined by Hannah Greenwood of Creeper to tackle the female harmonies of the track . The camaraderie between the bands of this tour is evident , it ’ s delightful to see them collaborating together and so beautifully too .
Letlive end on the massive Good Mourning , America from their newest release ‘ If I ’ m The Devil ’ and as they depart the stage , you ’ re left wondering how on earth Pierce The Veil will be able to top that .
