Medicine &The Art Of Balance

hen you really take the time to observe and look around you, you may notice three kinds of people - those who hate their work, those who endure it for a paycheck, and those who love their work and savor it.

This third category consists of the makers, shakers, and disruptors. These are individuals who enjoy what they do and ultimately change the world for the better.

American physician, David Sherer (born July 29, 1957 in Washington D.C.), is one of them. Anesthesiologist by trade, he ventures outside the traditional doctor’s sphere into being an author, inventor, musician, comedian, expert witness, consultant, lecturer, golfer, missionary, and ultimately husband and father.

How can one be so good

at so many interests?

Dr. Sherer believes in love and the power of balance. In fact, Dr. Sherer grew up in a loving and warm home and as a child was inquisitively fascinated by Bach which influenced him to master the piano at an early age.

With a keen interests for sports, music, acting, and comedy, he made friends easily and entertained with his humourous impersonations of famous people.

His specialized in impersonating Bill Clinton & Jimmy Stewart. Dr. Sherer may have very well chosen a path in acting or comedy, but what most fascinated him was his father’s wisdom, who was also a physician.

After watching and hearing many emotionally moving stories at the hospital, he decided to follow in his father’s footsteps.

While going about his pre-med requirements, he studied music at Emory University. He received his Medical Degree from Boston University School of Medicine and completed a residency in Anesthesiology

at the University of Miami.

He became board certified by the American Board of

Anesthesiology in 1991.

As an anesthesiologist he worked hard to provide compassionate care for his patients and also enjoy a healthy balanced lifestyle allowing him to spend quality time with his family.

His passionate dedication and balance drove him to the heights of success and earned him prestigious honors for his work and dedication to his patients.
