BOOK AUTHOR

Although Dr. Judy Staveley is involved in many community projects and organizations she recently found time to contribute her expertise and writing skills to a book titled, “The Perfect Network - Out Balancing, Creating & Living Wealth + Wellness”.

She describes the book as, “a book that marriages wealth and wellness and teaches key methods to create a life you love."

So naturally we asked Dr. Staveley how to do just that.

She says her guiding principles are “wake up thinking about something positive” and when you have a setback, “get back up and keep trying”. Plus, she mentions how she responds to criticism.

POSITIVE MINDSET

At the beginning of her career criticism got the best of her, yet over the years she’s responded positively by learning to “let my critics be my gurus”.

"Modeling came about in 8th grade when my mother wanted me out of tomboy clothes."

"I love to

live life"

She says it’s in our nature to “stew over negative critiques” however, because of her PHD studies in psychology and experiences interacting with large social media audiences, she’s learned to respond positively by “treating criticism as an opportunity to grow".

HOW TO BUILD A LIFE

YOU CAN LOVE

Another perspective she holds is, "Happiness is controlling your life". To control the direction of your life it takes daily discipline. Dr. Staveley says she can overcome the pain of sacrifice because she asks herself one simple question, "Where do I want to be in the near future?".

And if what's she's doing will not lead to that place, then it gets sacrificed. That's the focused drive she has which leads her high performance lifestyle.

She also doesn't look too far ahead. Instead, Dr. Staveley feels we miss out on daily life. Her advice is to be grateful and relish life's moments even if they are not the best of times.
