Matt Smith grew up in a residential community called The Lorne Park Estates which is located 30-minutes outside of Toronto.
It is a quiet, friendly neighborhood, perfect for raising a family. Matt says, “It’s still very much the same as it was back then. Everyone knows each other on a first name basis.” The people have always been friendly and the pace is slower.
In fact, you wouldn’t know the hustle of city-life was only a 30-minute drive east on the Gardiner Expressway.
Today, Matt lives in Yorkville and specializes in selling
luxury Yorkville condos. Yorkville, at times, is referred to as the “little brother of New York” yet Matt prefers to call Yorkville, “The Soul of Toronto.”
In either case, Yorkville is compared with the Upper West Side of Manhattan, New York. And similarly, with properties ranging from 1 million to 30 million, Yorkville attracts ultra high net-worth individuals.
As a long-time resident, Matt mentions, “Gone are the days where you need to travel by car to the grocery store. In fact, the amount of development in the area makes driving an inconvenience.
Here you walk everywhere, to the grocery store, the theatre, restaurants, you name it and you can walk to it from Yorkville.”
Yorkville, Toronto is a hip and trendy location. In fact, Matt looks forward to his daily walk to work because, “Many times, I have brushed shoulders with A-list stars such as Mark Wahlberg, Adam Sandler and Ricky Gervais."
Yorkville attracts the "Who’s Who" of the world and it is quickly becoming recognized as the "Centre Ice of Canada.”
