Martial Arts Training History:
Mr. Shawn Schaff started his training in Martial Arts in 2000 with Arts Sports TaeKwonDo. At that time he trained with Master Shaver for 3 years and achieved his blue belt. The Academy went through a change of ownership and eventually closed. So he decided to look for another school to continue his TaeKwonDo Journey. About one year later he found Tiger Rock Martial Arts – North Springs and restarted his TaeKwonDo journey with now, 6th Degree Black Belt, Master Aaron Tuck. To this day he still trains under Master Tuck’s direct guidance.
Martial Arts Teaching History:
Mr. Shawn Schaff began teaching as an assistant instructor in 2006. In 2008 he became a L2 instructor and was assisting with several different types of classes while part of the Instructor Trainee Program. Later in 2008 he began teaching lessons at Tiger Rock Martial Arts - Fountain. Where in 2010 he became a Certified TaeKwonDo Instructor and has renewed his certification every year since. He is now the Chief Instructor at Tiger Rock Martial Arts - Fountain.
Where Does He Teach TaeKwonDo:
Mr. Shawn Schaff does most of his instruction at the Tiger Rock - Fountain location but teaches Seminars and Lessons at all three of the locations in the Pikes Peak Region from time to time.
Personal Interests and Hobbies:
Shawn enjoys many different activities when away from the Academy. He is currently a single father taking care of his son and enjoys fishing, RC rock climbing, RC drones, Disc Golf, Basketball, and video games and spending time with family.
Professional HIstory:
Mr. Schaff worked at King Soopers as a Produce Clerk, Grocery Clerk, Checker, and many other areas in the retail food business. After 13 years in retail he obtained a Bachelor of Science from Colorado Technical University and worked for several different companies working on and writing software. He ultimately decided to follow his passion of martial arts and in 2013 became the full-time Director of Tiger Rock Martial Arts - Fountain. He is currently Co-Owner of this location.
