Proposal for the improvement of woman rights towards the EU
We think it ´ s important that women have equal rights with men . In this matter it ´ s important that the EU becomes an example for the member states . We think that there is where the problems start , we have an European commission consisting of 20 men and 9 woman : not the best example to have in this case . On the other hand we think that these issues are more national issues . In countries like the Netherlands the problem is mostly the failure of equalizing the occupation of important jobs between men and women and on the other hand in countries like Spain the issue is more about violence against women . So what would a law for equalizing the top positions solve for women in Spain for example ? Nothing . We do not want more rules to cause more problems , we want an efficient way to solve problems . The best way to do that is to let this matter to the nation states . That ’ s why we propose that the European Union lets this item to the nation states to solve , so that every different circumstance could get his own measure that would lead to an improvement .
