Congratulations and welcome to the world of Elegant Wedding. You’ve fallen in love, said “yes” and
now are planning the biggest day of your life. When thinking about a theme for this issue, my team
and I couldn’t help but want to take brides back to these precious moments to experience the romance
of getting married all over again.
All too often, a bride gets caught up the in the planning of her wedding that she forgets to focus on
the most important part: the romance. Unforgettable settings, dreamy florals and mesmerizing gowns
are just some of the key elements we are instilling into the pages for this issue to make incurable
romantics out of you all.
To ensure that you flip through a variety of styles and themes, we’ve curated a stunning collection
of influential real weddings and style shoots planned by the most talented specialists of Toronto.
Whatever setting you envision, fairytale (p.116), urban (p.86), contemporary (p.126) or renaissance
(p.150), romance awaits.
For our avant-garde fashion feature (p.62) we headed to the historic Omni King Edward Hotel in
downtown Toronto. With work from top bridal designers at our disposal and the untouched remains
of the famed 17th-floor Crystal Ballroom serving up as an edgy wintery backdrop, the shoot had no
trouble taking the spot on our cover.
