How They Met | Tanya and James met in spring of 2009 on a camping
trip with mutual work colleagues—both worked at Sport Chek/Atmo-
sphere at the time. Their love blossomed under the stars and continued to
grow that weekend forward. In June 2017, James proposed to Tanya on a
vineyard in Burgundy, France.
The Ceremony | With a love for the outdoors, Tanya and James want-
ed their ceremony to have a spectacular view that was close enough to
the city to ensure all guests could attend (especially James’ 94-year-old
grandparents). Family friends played live music on the piano and flute
and a close friend officiated. The ceremony was short and sweet, just as
they wanted.
The Reception | To fully enjoy and celebrate their wedding with guests,
Tanya and James chose to have a later ceremony followed by cocktail hour
on the beautiful outdoor patio overlooking the ravine. Multiple fire pits lit
the terrace for dancing and mingling while the pianist and flutist continued
to play music in the background.
