How They Met | Lauren and Michael have known each
other for 10 years, however the road to their romance wasn’t
immediate. Over the years, Michael asked Lauren out several
times but she claimed not to be interested. Friends of theirs
even attempted to set them up without knowing that they had
already met. She still wasn’t interested! That is, until those
friends got married and the party finally changed her mind.

The Ceremony | A traditional Jewish ceremony with sheer floor-to-ceiling draping
and a simple chuppah was how Lauren and Michael celebrated their ceremony. White
calla lillies and hydrangeas anchored the arch, meanwhile a white aisle runner lined with
white rose petals added a touch of glamour. One of the most special moments was when
the groom walked down the aisle with the couple’s one-year-old twins.
The Reception | Lauren and Michael had an incredible party with their closest friends
and loved ones at their sophisticated reception. A mix of round and long tables were
dispersed throughout the venue, as well as a white-tiled dance floor welcoming all of the
guests to have a great time dancing. One of the highlights was the Moishes Steakhouse
midnight snack station served by Lauren, her father and stepmother—owners of the
beloved Montreal eatery.
The Decor | Simple elegance was the word of the day. White flowers, including roses,
were placed in low square vases at each table allowing guests to easily converse over
dinner; lucite chairs, white floating candles and linens added to the clean and airy atmo-
sphere. Individual menus monogrammed with the couple’s initials lined the tables and
customized cell phone chargers were given out as favours to each guest.
