How They Met | Marie-Christine and Pierre-

Yves’ love story began inside a library more than
a decade ago when they were studying in Québec
City. When they moved to Montréal to attend university, their relationship flourished. Given that
Marie-Christine is a compulsive reader and loves
to visit libraries all over the world, it came as no
surprise that her and Pierre-Yves’ engagement
shoot was held inside a library.

The Reception | Given the couple’s imminent departure to the UK, a few Anglo-Saxon
elements were incorporated into the reception:
teatime for the girls during pre-ceremony preparations and scotch for the boys. Throughout the
night, guests were welcome to a Champagne bar,
a delicious rustic cake covered in fresh peonies
and an unforgettable late-night poutine station.
The couple’s retro-chic inspired “his and hers”
cocktails were also a hit.

The Decor | Lush greens, soft pinks and hues of gold

brought together Marie-Christine and Pierre-Yves’ wine and
book-themed decor perfectly. Centrepieces rested on stacks of
vintage books, table numbers were wine bottles and a handmade sign with the couple’s initials was made out of corks.
