The Decor | A lilac colour scheme with modern white
decor—provided by Celebrations Party & Special Event
Rentals—brought together the elegant theme desired
by Louise and Nir. Large, fresh blooms made up the
centrepieces, silver chargers were found at each place
setting and soft lighting created a romantic ambience.

The Ceremony | On the third night of Chanukah, Louise and Nir said, “I do” under a
gorgeous chuppah covered with flowers at Plaza Centre-Ville. Live singing took place,
blessings commemorating the festival of lights were read and the family’s rabbi lead
the processional.

To conclude, the groom—wearing a tux from Waxman House—performed the
traditional breaking of the glass and “mazal tov” welcome to his new bride.
The Reception | A renowned Grammy and Oscar DJ spun a selection of ‘80s
favourites for Louise and Nir’s reception catered by Blossom by La Plaza. Midway
through the evening, a darbuka drummer played alongside Israeli/Moroccan music for
a wonderful live performance. And later, the bride and groom were lifted on a table and
spun in the middle of the dance floor.

How They Met | Although Louise and Nir were supposed to be introduced by a
mutual friend, they ended up meeting at an unexpected gathering. Nir asked Louise out
on a date before the night was over and they’ve spent every moment together since.
