How They Met | Cassandre and Marie-Michèle
met in high school through a mutual friend.
Although Marie-Michèle graduated first—they
were one year apart—she and Cassandre were able
to stay close thanks to her involvement coaching
the school’s basketball team. After Cassandre asked
Marie-Michèle to be her prom date, they officially
started dating. Ten years later, they celebrated their
nuptials on their anniversary.
The Ceremony | Having spent four years
living together in Québec City, Cassandre and
Marie-Michèle felt strongly about returning there
to host their wedding surrounded by friends and
family. The wedding party consisted of 12 people
(women and men on both sides), the brides read
vows they had written to each other and Cassandre’s
aunt consummated the marriage. It was an intimate
ceremony shared by all.

The Reception|Cassandre and Marie-Michèle’s
love of food and travel was tastefully reflected at
their reception. Guests were invited to enjoy an
amazing cocktail hour with three signature drinks—
one made of whiskey (for Marie-Michèle), one of
Champagne (for Cassandre) and one of Balsamic
and Aperol for their love of Italy—along with plenty
of exquisite food.
The Decor | KA Mariage Planification & Design
created a glowing reception for Cassandre and
Marie-Michèle. Keeping with the ceremony, a
plethora of candles were suspended above each
table along with fresh greenery to warm up the
ambience and introduce a cozy wintery environment. It all came together just as romantic and
elegant as they had anticipated.
