BLEEP BLOOP “Hey man, you just played one of my tracks” are words that most young producers can only dream of saying to someone like DJ Shadow. Bleep Bloop, aka Aaron Triggs, actually lived this dream when Shadow whipped out some of his music at a festival in 2013. Triggs’ ‘10 Watt Lazers’ EP, a wild intergalactic romp, was Liquid Amber’s first release. And with a sound that can, apparently, only be described as “#OUTERSPACE”, it’s clear why Shadow wanted him on board. NITE SCHOOL KLIK Nite School Klik started out this year as an anonymous duo, dropping the single ‘Posse’ to the delight and confusion of the music press. They have recently revealed themselves to be none other than Shadow himself and bass producer G Jones. Having met through the same virtual cratedigging that led Shadow to Bleep Bloop, the pair instantly hit it off and started making some real genre-blurring music, resulting in their brand new self-titled EP. RUCKAZOID Putting the dirt and the danger back into dance music, Ruckazoid has been honing his DJ craft for 15 years and his ‘Scratchgod I’ EP on Liquid Amber showcases his unique mix of traditional deck techniques and pioneering technology. With his infamous ‘Controller One’ turntable, Ruckazoid is paving the way for new developments in scratching, sampling and looping, recording many of his powerful cuts in real time.
