X-Ray

X-Ray is an electromagnetic radiation of high energy and very short wavelength between ultraviolet light and gamma rays that is able to pass through many materials opaque to light. Our eyes are sensitive to the particular wavelength of visible light, but not to the shorter wavelength of higher energy X-ray waves or the longer wavelength of the lower energy radio waves. Visible light photons and X-ray photons are both produced by the movement of electrons in atoms.

In 1895 Wilhelm Rontgen discovery that X-ray would pass through the tissue of humans leaving the bones and metals visible. One of Roentgen's first experiments late in 1895 was a film of his wife Bertha's hand with a ring on her finger
