ARE YOU FEELING POSITIVE ?
SOMETIMES IT ' S EASIER SAID THAN DONE .
Just when think we ’ re getting back to some form of normality , whack ! More lockdowns . And even though they ’ re only temporary , it prompted a feeling of ' back to square one '.
Of course , the pandemic is just one of a multitude of things that affect our mood and mental state day in , day out . From our finances to the stresses of running a business and being responsible for others , there are a multitude of things affecting us every day .
Whatever is going on in our own – or the wider – world , it ’ s important to remain POSITIVE ! That ’ s why we ’ ve devoted this month ’ s edition of Electrical Gems to positivity .
Of course , it ’ s easy said , harder done . Positivity can seem like a hopeless ask for many .
Sometimes it ’ s a natural response – if someone has died , is ill , has received bad news or is stressing about money , relationships or anything else , it ’ s perfectly normal to feel down .
But how do you recognise when it ’ s not normal ?
In this issue , we look at positivity from all angles – how to get it , how to recognise if you or one of your mates doesn ’ t have it , and what you can do about it .
Looking after yourself is key – from the right amount of sleep to your ‘ refueling ’ habits . And there are plenty of other ways you can help yourself – and your mates – get a welcome dose of positivity .

The Boss would certainly know the answer , and the Spark exhibition currently at The Australian Museum showcases the innovations of bosses up and down the country . A standout is the world ’ s first hydrogen battery , for domestic or commercial use , which can store more than 40kWh of electricity , can integrate with rooftop solar and will last for about 30 years . If you ’ re in Sydney , check out the exhibition post lockdown – it ’ s well worth your time . Spark runs until 3 October 2021 .
