THE POMS ARE COMING ! This summer , the English are travelling to our shores to try to play cricket . Although , judging by some of their more recent performances , whatever sport they were trying to play didn ’ t resemble cricket too much . They ’ re way off their peak , so here ’ s hoping for another comprehensive whitewash . Is a 5-0 series scoreline , with at least three of those wins by an innings , too much to ask ?!

AND SO IS SUMMER … It ’ s the season we were made for . Light nights , great weather , barbeques and beers – jump in the pool to cool off after a hard day at work . Wrap Christmas in and you ’ ve got yourself something close to ideal !

WE HAVE PLENTY OF WORK
GOING Since people have been spending more time in their homes , home renos have gone through the roof . Seriously , have you tried finding a builder recently ? Of course , that means more and more work for the trades , and it shows no sign of stopping . Make money while the sun shines ? You betcha !

WE LIVE IN AUSTRALIA ( OR NEW ZEALAND !) Where else would you rather be ? Sun , sea , sand , surf … we even had snow a couple of months ago . What ’ s not to love ? And , while you can debate the merits of the strict border closures until the cows come home , it ’ s allowed the majority of us to go about our daily lives in relative normality . And we ’ ve probably got the greatest domestic tourism around .
