DRONE
LIFE
Tech is not only helping
to protect people on
land, it’s helping keep
people safe in the water,
too. After some very
successful trials, more
than 50 Westpac Life
Saver ‘Little Ripper’
Rescue Drones have
been rolled out to
beaches across the
country, in association
with Surf Life Saving
Australia. The drones
not only help lifesavers
see what’s going on out
at sea – even identifying
sharks – but can also
deliver buoyancy aids to
those in trouble.
