Start the countdown , connect your cables as fast you can , press the buzzer to stop the timer , then flick the switch to check you ’ ve wired it correctly – and keep your fingers crossed that nobody beats your time !
The Quickwire junction box has been designed to save significant installation time on site . It is prewired , with clearly labelled cable inlets , and can be wired in under seven seconds .
The current record is 04.48 seconds , but there ’ s always room for improvement ! To enter you just need to visit Quickwire on Stand 90 .

Mark will be appearing on Marshall- Tufflex Stand 74 on the both days . Visitors to the stand will also be able to see a full range of the manufacturer ’ s PVC-U , steel and aluminium trunking solutions together with its new underfloor-to-desk range and Wire Basket including Cablelay .
Exhibiting on Stands 110 , 111 , 112 , GreenBrook Electrical will feature its new Lynx Range of LED Slimline Floodlights , highlighting the product ’ s high-quality finish with an elegant design die cast body and tempered glass . The range consists of 10W-100W fittings in black or white , with or without PIR – all with a beam angle of 120 ° and a lumen output of 100lm / W all rated IP65 and ideal for installation in both domestic and commercial properties .
For maximum electrical safety , the electronics inside have been encapsulated for additional protection . Manufactured with an LED array instead of a single chip , this allows the powerful light to spread and appear less intense to the eye . The products are also fitted with cooling fins to assist heat dissipation and increase life expectancy .
The maker says the products are easy to install and offer an ideal low energy alternative to a Xenon flood – the fittings have a mounting bracket that allows the product to rotate 360 ° so it can be positioned at the required angle .
GreenBrook will also be highlighting a new range of weatherproof accessories , the PowerBreaker ProteKt range , to provide high levels of safety and practicality in both commercial and domestic applications .
The maker says the PowerBreaker ProteKt range has been designed to offer the highest levels of protection against the ingress of water and solid matter ( IP66 ) to provide safe and efficient electrical connections in even the most arduous conditions .
GreenBrook has also relaunched its popular brand of Powerbreaker RCDs by increasing the range to offer what it says is now the most comprehensive selection of RCD safety products on the market . Vibrant new packaging and a new brochure detailing the range of 10mA , 30mA , Active & Passive products entitled A Guide to Electrical Safety will be available at the show on Stands 110 , 111 , 112 .
ED & I will also be the platform to promote GreenBrook ’ s new VELA Compact range of LED Dimmable Fire Rated Downlights which offer a low profile , ( only 40mm ) and allow the insulation to be laid directly over the fitting . This has been tested and verified in the Lighting Industry Association ’ s Test Laboratory .

Klauke UK will be showcasing several key lines from its handheld range of problem solvers .
The company ’ s innovative Speed Punch System has been introduced to reduce the operation time when punching a hole in mild steel , plastic and aluminium sheets up to 3.5mm thick – by up to three times , says the maker . Klauke says the new Speed Punch system brings innovation to the ‘ cutting edge ’. The longest process of using hole punching tools is threading the punch onto and off the draw stud . Speed Punch eliminates this threading by using a threadless draw stud and robust ‘ Speed Lock ’ clamp . Assembly and disassembly becomes simple and is up to three times faster than conventional punching systems . When combined with a battery hydraulic punch driver , e . g . LS50L-flex , the manufacturer says this provides the fastest punching system on the market . Klauke ’ s micro battery operated crimping tool will also be highlighted . The lightweight design is powered by a 9.6V Li-ion battery
