SPOTLIGHT ON CONTROL
Prolojik’s open protocol lighting control system delivered the flexibility and functionality required for a major
new commercial build in London. Here Claire Fletcher shines a spotlight on this user-centred development.

quality office space, a
retail unit and a
publicly accessible
passageway to a new
landscaped courtyard,
40 Chancery Lane is a
new London commercial build completed
in early 2017. The development was
specified by architect, Bennetts Associates,
to provide a modern, energy efficient and
user-centred environment.
Contracted by London office fit-out
specialist, ISG, building consultancy,
MHBC, pre-appointed Prolojik to the

project. Prolojik’s lighting control system
was brought in to deliver an integrated and
fully functioning single system for the base
build shell, core and tenant fit-out. It would
need to provide operation of a wide variety
of fixtures for the 97,000ft² development.
Restricted access
Working closely with maintenance and
electrical contractor, MALA, and with
MHBC, Prolojik’s designers created
a solution to encompass the specific
lighting fixtures selected by the tenant
and tailor the control system to fit in with
