NAPIT TRAINING TACKLES SKILLS SHORTAGE
The construction industry has recently been hit by a skills shortage which has seen pressure mount on the industry to employ and train more people than ever before .
NAPIT Training is preparing to help tackle the issue by offering high quality training services to train and qualify tradespeople , ensuring competence and compliance across a range of trades in the building services sector .
Although there seems to be an apparent skills shortage , FMB ’ s ( Construction Skills Shortage Gets Worse , 2017 ) results have shown that the SME construction sector has experienced fifteen consecutive quarters of growth . To carry on this growth and to build an increase of skills throughout the period of a skills shortage , NAPIT has introduced new courses to ease the strain further on employing and training the UK ’ s domestic workforce .
Michael Collinge , head of NAPIT Training , commented , ‘ As the construction industry is going to need more skilled tradespeople going forward for the future , we hope that our efforts and frequent developments of training courses can help tradespeople to gain the right qualifications and requirements for a job and take advantage of the skills shortage .’
NAPIT Training offers support to the industry by meeting the increasing demand to give tradespeople the appropriate skills for the job . With a wide range of training and assessment courses that are certificated or accredited by City & Guilds , BPEC , Logic Certification and IATP , there are many options to upskill and boost knowledge .
