Mackenzie and Collins rush out to the FA lander, they get in, and turn on the thrusters. It is very warm and damp in the lander, it hadn’t been used in years. They propel themselves into a speed chase with Dawson.

Mackenzie: Check the odometer, make sure I don’t clock past 320 mph.

Collins: Alright, but we’ll never catch up with him at this speed!

Mackenzie: Yeah, but if we preserve fuel, and then engage the rocket boosters, we can possibly catch up to him!

Collins: Alright, Mackenzie, on three, I’m gonna punch the speed, and then I’m gonna need you to drop the landing gear!

The cabin begins to fill with discharge smoke; they begin coughing but continue on.

Mackenzie: Okay, I’ll try, but we need to make contact with him and make sure he does not try to dock the ship, I don’t think he knows that it's not the FA cruiser!

Collins: He’s turned off his radio, we’re gonna have to improvise.

Mackenzie drops the landing gear. A loud thump is heard in the cabin, and they fly at an unimaginable speed for a short while.

Mackenzie: There he is! Come on Collins, hurry it up!

Collins: He has just left the atmosphere, he’s in space now, we can catch up to him now.

Collins is seen taking off his seat belt, hooking a carabiner to his waist, and walking into the airlock section of the cabin.

Mackenzie: Collins! What are you doing?!

Collins: Be quiet and trust me! Take hold of the steering, and bring me as close as you can to his lander.

Mackenzie: Collins! Think about your kids! What will they do without you?

Collins: I am, Mackenzie. If Dawson docks his lander to the main ship, the airlock won’t hold his lander, the lower section of the ship will be blown up, and the rest of the ship and everything in it will be sent into space. How do you suppose we will get home after that?

Collins: Radio me into his PA.

Collins steps into the airlock depressurized and opens the door to the vastless space. He looks left and sees Dawson.

Collins jumps from the lander to Dawson’s spacecraft and begins to slip further to the end of the ship.

Collins (speaking to Dawson through the PA): Dawson! Turn your radio on! You’re acting crazy!

Dawson turns on the radio and speaks to Collins.

Dawson: How am I acting crazy, Collins? I am doing this for the same exact reason you are.

Collins (distraught, and holding on for his life): What do you mean?! Open the back door! You don’t know what you’re about to do!

Dawson: Don’t try and stop me, I won’t open the interior door!

Dawson opens the first door, Collins gets in and the section in depressurized.

Collins: Please, you can not dock FA landers onto the main ship! You’ll blow everything up, ruin everything we’ve worked for!

Dawson: We can’t both survive this, you know that already Collins. I was thinking about my family. You know there isn’t enough fuel on the main ship for all of us to get home. Think about what you love Collins, fight for it, and don’t give up on it. I was told these exact words by Joneson, and I will follow these words to my grave, I will survive no matter what, just as you are doing now Collins. I’m too far in now, I can’t go back.

Dawson’s craft arrives at the main ship, Mackenzie’s lander has run out of fuel, and Dawson begins the docking process.

Collins: You can stop this now Dawson, this isn’t your only choice, please don’t do this.

Dawson is disengaging the alarms, hooking onto the main ship, and is about to depressurize, he looks back to Collins.

Dawson: I love my children, I love my wife, I love my family and I’m willing to let you guys die for it.

Collins switches from FA Lander channel to the main ships PA channel.

Collins: Eva, Eric, put on your oxygen masks and suits on now! Dawson is trying to-

Collins is cut off by Dawson switching to the Main ships PA.

Dawson: I’m sorry Collins, Mackenzie, I wouldn’t be able to live with myself watching you suffocate here.

Dawson depressurizes and opens the airlock. Collins is blown into space.

Dawson depressurizes the FA lander.

Mackenzie, in the distance, sees the 4th section of the main ship explode, following that is the 3rd, then the 2nd, and finally, the last section.
