MESSAGE FROM HOD’s DESK
I’m happy to know that Electrical Engineering Association (EEA) has been active in bringing out annual magazine regularly. First of all i would like to congratulate the outgoing students for having successfully completed the formalities of their respective degree courses and wish them the very best for their future career. The EEA is a forum to bridge the professional gap between the theoretical concepts taught through curriculum and the practices in the field. In this endeavour the current executive has done a reasonably commendable job and I congratulate them for the same. Engineering education is exploding at a very rapid pace and inorder to keep pase with the competition in professional field, the student has to equip himself with additional skills. Students of all departments have been actively pursuing research for the past couple of years but I would expect the numbers to grow to atleast 20 to 25 percent of the class strength. In this context I suggest that research teams with representation from final, third and second year classes be formed and get mentored by a research scholar under the guidance of a staff member.Such an initiative would help the research scholars of the department to improve their research outlook and help the Under Graduate students in pursuing research. I wish to play some record of my appreciation for several achievers who brought laurels to the department by their achievements in research, gate, journal publications and other. Finally I wish to thanks the ELECTRAGE team for giving me this opportunity to share few ideas with them.
