Chaplains

It's been a privilege for the chaplaincy to serve you all this past year. We are grateful for the chaplain office and that we are "home" at EDSO. We've had countless conversations, lunches, cups of coffee, laughs and shared tears in the building. Our mission is to offer a value-added presence, whether it's through taking care of a distraught family so our deputies can investigate and/or get on to their next call, or offer a non-chain-of-command listening ear so deputies and staff can offload some stress, gain some tools to address the normal-yet-not-healthy aspects of the job and have some perspective so they can go home to family and friends and flourish in their personal lives as well as on the job.

There is no higher honor than for us to call you family and friends, and we are glad we get to walk the journey with each of you.

To all our volunteers,

The employees of the El Dorado County Sheriff's Office cannot say thank you enough for the dedication and support you have shown our agency. While 2019 was hopefully the hardest year this agency will face, we are forever grateful for the support you have provided and the way you stepped up in our most trying times. Some of us were able to express our thanks with many words and hugs, some of us said a quick thank you and meant it whole-heartedly every time, some of us sliently mustered smiles and held back tears. But know, you made an impact on us and helped us through another day. We all began our careers to serve others, never expecting this level of service in return.

In case you haven't heard us say it before,

Thank You
