Dancing and Dueling displays formally composed photography alongside installation art made from recycled fabric. Joe Wolek is also part of a five-person show at the art gallery at the Santora Building in Downtown Santa Ana. “Here you have these really slick beautiful photographs that are only made to be looked at, next to pieces made from very rough textiles and fabrics that almost feel like they had a life before,” Gallery Director Phil Marquez said. How the students react and whether or not the artist is well received also plays an important role. “I think the photography is exquisitely done and Lena is very clever in the work that she does with found objects and clothing,” Marquez said.
