IMMIGRATION
The Santa Ana College Theatre Department addresses immigration in their latest play Detained in the Desert . With the passage of Arizona ’ s anti-immigrant law S . B . 1070 in 2010 , playwright Josefina Lopez and director Chris Cannon felt it was necessary to raise awareness of the controversial policy . The play will be shown at 7:30 p . m . in Phillips Hall Theater Nov . 19 and at SAC Art Gallery in the Santora Building at 207 N . Broadway on Nov . 20 . The play is free but donations are accepted for both shows .

DANCEWATCH 2016
To honor Veteran ’ s Day the Santa Ana College Dance Department presents Dancewatch 2016 , for men and women who served our country . SAC ’ s dance , English , and communication studies departments and Veterans Resource Center are coming together to make the event happen . The dance runs Thursday , Nov . 10 to Saturday , Nov . 12 at 7:30 p . m . Thursday ’ s show includes a pre-concert talk at 7:15 p . m . and post-performance discussion . An additional show will be held on Saturday at 2:30 p . m . Dancewatch is free for military personal , veterans and families with proper ID . The dance is located at Phillips Hall Theatre .

FOOD FOR VETERANS
California unions are sponsoring a Veterans Day Community Celebration featuring live entertainment , a resource and job fair at the O . C . Fair and Events Center . People are encouraged to donate non-perishable food , baby items and household supplies such as toothpaste and shampoo . A dedication ceremony for the Heroes Hall Veterans Museum will be held at 1 p . m . The event is Friday , Nov . 11 from 10:30 a . m . to 2 p . m . at 88 Fair Dr ,

INTERSESSION
Registration for 2017 Intersession classes is now open . The session will run from Jan . 9 through Feb . 5 . It allows students to earn full class credit in just 4 weeks . There will be general education classes available in English , math , history , and earth science as well as web classes . For continuing students , registration began on Oct . 31 and will continue through Jan . 6 . New or returning students began registering Nov . 3 and high school ( CAP ) students will begin Dec . 12 . An application can be completed online at www . sac . edu . or in person . People can visit SAC ’ s WebAdvisor for the current list of available 2017 Intersession classes .
