Little Jr. [email protected] CINCO DE MAYO FAIR GRADUATING DONS FINE ARTS ROUNDUP Santa Ana’s 17th Annual Cinco de Mayo Festival will run April 30 through May 1 in downtown Santa Ana. The two-day event will be free to the public. The festival will feature activities like talent shows, traditional Mexican food, music and carnival rides. Some of the artists set to perform at the festival are Diana Reyes, Kevin Ortiz, Hermanas Arteaga and Banda la Nueva Aventura. —Gracia Sanchez Commencement is June 3 at 5:30 p.m. at the Eddie West Field on Flower street. Entrance for family and friends will be free. Caps and gowns must be purchased in order to participate in the ceremony. Once students have obtained their own cap and gown, they can register and must do so before 7 p.m. on June 2 at the Don Bookstore. Only black caps and gowns will be accepted. Parking will be $5, the gates open at 4 p.m. and graduates must be lined up by 5 p.m. —Arleeny Escarcega May is a busy month for Santa Ana College’s Fine and Performing Arts Division. The music and dance departments will host a variety of shows. Student dance concert Danceworks begins May 5, followed by a Big Band concert May 13 and a guitar ensemble May 14. Students and faculty can purchase discounted tickets for the game against the Baltimore Orioles for $20 in the business office located at VL-208. The discounted tickets provide seating in Right Field MVP, Right Field Pavilion, Left Field Pavilion, Right Field Pavilion WC or Left Field Pavilion WC. Vouchers will be given with the purchase of a ticket to collect a limited edition SAC Angels-themed hat.
