The football team begins
its 2014 season Sept. 6 at
Eddie West Field, hosting
Allan Hancock College.

Two baseball players drafted in June
Andy Peterson and Julian Barzilli were selected June 7 in the First-Year Player Major League
Draft. Peterson made First-Team All-Orange Empire Conference both years before transferring
to Oregon State University, where he appeared in the College World Series in 2013. The Seattle Mariners drafted him in the 27th round. The St. Louis Cardinals chose Barzilli, who played
