Shapaka Joins EKY Sports

Frasure Visits UK

Prestonsburg High School sophomore Dalton Frasure made an unofficial visit to the University of Kentucky on Saturday. During his visit, Frasure had an opportunity to talk with UK tight ends coach Vince Marrow, who was named the team’s recruitingcoordinator in late-January. Marrow invited Frasure back to UK for the squad’s spring game later in the month.

Bobcats College Signees

Four Betsy Layne High School footballplayers signed to play at the next level on Thursday. Blake Spencer signed as a preferred walk-on with the University of Kentucky. Three of his teammates - Zach Bowens, Jordan Stewart and Avery Boyd - signed with the University of Pikeville.

Cook Leaves Lawrence

Josh Cook stepped down at Lawrence Countyto take the open job at Mercer County. Cook led Lawrence County to a 21-11 record last season. He was 41-22 in the last two seasons with back-to-back 20-win seasons. Lawrence County was 7-46 the previous two seasons.
