PAINTSVILLE, Ky. - Johnson Central High School Senior Chris Niece signed a letter of intent Tuesday to continue his football career at the University of the Cumberlands.
The standout Golden Eagle Lineman joins a Patriot team that finished with a 13-1 record and earned a trip to the NAIA National Championship where they lost to Grand View University 35-23.
Niece marks the 29th Johnson Central football player who signed to play college football since 2004, the first season that Jim Matney took over as head coach for the Golden Eagles' program.
