WHAT ARE THE NEXT STEPS THAT THE
COUNTRY WILL TAKE IN IMPLEMENTING eiti?
With the country’s admission as a candidate country, the Philippine EITI led by the MSG
is now tasked to submit a country report to the EITI International Board by November 22,
2014. In preparation for this, a series of trainings for government agencies, civil society, industry members, and media are scheduled in the next few months on topics such as financial
tracking, revenue management, and EITI reporting. One expected outcome of such trainings is the finalization of reporting policies, mechanisms and templates that will be used in
presenting the information that should be included in the report.
Scoping studies will also be conducted to serve as bases for the reference materials that will
be produced by PH-EITI.
In addition, continuous outreach activities to stake holders will be conducted.
PH-EITI will also pilot subnational implementation in key sites.
