STOCK PROJECT
The Description of Stock Project
The stock project is one of EIB’s individual projects. This project is used to let EIB
students familiar with the stock market. Every EIB student got 30,000 dollars
virtual currency to invest. Every student needed to invest the $30,000 into three
companies, and these companies should be publicly traded on the New York Stock
Exchange. Student needed to select one high risk company, one low risk or Blue
Chip Company and one that has headquarters in their home country. After the
investment, the students needed to create a stocks portfolio of these three
companies.
The Requirements of this project
Every EIB students wrote two memos for this project.
In the first memo, they needed described the companies they chosen and the
reason and the allocation of their funds in the stock summary table.
In the second memo, they needed to explain why the companies’ stocks changed
in detail by discussing any news that affected the companies’ performance and
market reports.
What We Learned From This Project
This individual project helped EIB students knew how to invest money in stock
market and how to analyze the stock markets. By doing this project, EIB students
can also improve their writing skill and they can learn how to prepare business
reports.
