Welcome
Welcome To EI Live! 2017
Hi there and a warm welcome to the official show guide for
EI Live! 2017. Whether you are at the show right now or are
using the guide to plan your visit, we hope your trip to this
year’s show delivers real benefits for your business.
It’s certainly been a very busy year for the smart home market so far and the sector looks set
to continue to grow and to ask searching questions of those who make their living from it:
installers, manufacturers and service providers alike.
This fact is at the core of the need for EI Live! to exist in the first place. The show acts as a
vital business nexus for the industry to come together, share ideas, plan projects and keep
the industry moving forward. This show has other uses too. I have lost count over the years
of the number of distribution deals that have been struck either at the show or soon after as
companies realise the benefits of supporting each other after interacting at the show. Installers
too often find their next career move whilst visiting the event. Of course countless products and
services have been launched over the years as well. In short, the show gives the smart home
industry a shot in the arm, driving development, people, ideas and projects to help the sector
stay ahead of what the end user and commercial clients require.
This year I am sure the show will be no different. With the amount of launches taking place and
the effort being put into the stands and various show offers, the 2017 event will continue to
deliver what the industry needs.
This year as well as the show floor, check out the Learning Zone (details are inside) – we have
some really vital learning experiences for visitors this year. The best thing about the smart home
industry is also the most challenging: there are always new things to learn, always someone
who has a different and often a better take on a situation. These observations are at the heart of
the Learning Zone this year as some of the industry’s top operators and experts gather to offer
their insight and experience.
Also don’t forget the Smart Building Awards, which are presented at the end of the first day at a
special drinks reception, awarding the best of the best in the smart home industry.
If you have any comments or suggestions for the show, be sure to get in touch and on the day
you can always talk to one of the organisers, recognisable by their EI Live! branded shirts.
See you at Sandown!
