application problems. Concrete, algorithmic, graphical, and
technological tools as well as a variety of representations will be used
to solve problems.
Students should strive to improve their ability to solve mathematical
problems through hands-on practice and obtain an understanding of
the strategies, tactics, and tools of the problem solver as illustrated
by the instructor and instructional materials.
Additional goals will be improving skills for SAT and Accuplacer
tests, and increasing skills for success in future math classes.
