GUIDANCE AND COUNSELING
Each student is assigned to a school counselor. The high school counselor will work with the
student throughout his/her high school career. The Guidance Department offers an appropriate
Comprehensive Developmental School Counseling Program. School counselors offer assistance
to students in areas such as:

Development of an individualized Student Success Plan (SSP)
Self-evaluation in terms of abilities, interests, and aptitudes
Selection of courses and studies
Post-secondary planning including college, vocational, and military options
Personal issues
Parents and students are encouraged to work collaboratively with the school counselor.
