Enfield, please contact the Office of the Principal. A copy of the Management Plan for each specific school
building is kept in the Principal’s office for the respective school.

Enfield Public Schools, School Facilities Department, Telephone 272-3510.
SUICIDE/PREVENTION/INTERVENTION #5140.3
The Enfield Board of Education recognizes that suicide has become a major cause of death among young
people and, consequently, is a concern to this school system and the community it serves. The Board
recognizes that suicide is a complex issue and that, while the school may recognize potentially suicidal
youth, it cannot make clinical assessment of risk and provide in-depth counseling, but must notify the parent
or guardian who will be provided with a list of appropriate resources for such an evaluation.
Therefore, any school employee who may have knowledge of a suicide threat must take the proper steps to
report this information to the school principal or his/her designee.
CHILD ABUSE/NEGLECT #5140.1
The Enfield Public School District (the “District”) shall comply with the Connecticut General
Statutes regarding child abuse and neglect by requiring all personnel employed by the school
system to report any incident where there is a reasonable cause to suspect child abuse, neglect or
risk of abuse of a child to the designated authority.
