Recent Events
The Career Counselors finished Senior and Junior
meetings since the last newsletter. Any Juniors or
Seniors who were unable to attend either of their
appointment times should stop by to make an
appointment! We’re beginning with Sophomore
Career meetings in early February. The following
events have been successful programs to service
students over the past couple months.
Cheney Tech and Suffield
Agriscience Info Sessions
All Eighth grade students were provided the
opportunity to sign up to attend info sessions given by
Cheney Tech High School and Suffield Agriscience
Program on October 23 rd
Second Grade Mentoring
Our Fall semester for Second Grade Mentoring
wrapped up on November 25 th . It is not too late for new
mentors to sign up for the Spring Sessions – stop by the
Career Center!
UMass Animal Science Visit
Students interested in pursuing careers related to
Animal Science attended a great information session
and tour of UMass Amherst’s Animal Science program
on November 1 st
Medical Careers Day
Thank you to the 15 medical professionals that
willingly and graciously volunteered to speak with
students at our annual Medical Careers Day. Over 75
students attended this event on November 1 st to learn
more about career opportunities in the medical field.
Thank you to our volunteers: Michelle Howard-Swan,
Michelle Nai, Carter Eckley, Luis Rivera Serrano, Erin
Riggott, Melissa Hernandez-Smythe, Lori Berg, Mary
