We are excited to start another year in the Career Center!
Here’s what we already have planned….
10/16 – Lunch with Dr. Murphy 11/2 – Microsoft Career Exploration Trip
Come have lunch with a Primary Care Doctor
for a chance to learn more about pursuing a
career in the medical field. Join this trip if you are interested in computer
programming or design, marketing, business,
or the technology industry.
10/17 – Career Training Expo 11/5 – Real Art Ways Career Exploration Trip
The event will be in the Cafeteria from 9:30-
11:00 am. This is chance for all students to
explore solid career options that they might
not know of otherwise. Many of these careers
require tech or trade training rather than a
traditional 4 yr. degree. This trip is an opportunity for students to learn
about careers in the Arts while visiting an active
arts community.
10/18 - Nurse Mentorship Program
Every other Thursday Michelle Nai from
Hartford Hospital runs a mentoring group with
aspiring nurses during Eagle Bock.
10/19 – Second Grade Mentoring
Join us to lead lessons for the second graders
during 4 separate trips to the elementary
schools.
10/30 – Medical Careers Panel
On October 30 th we will have members from
the nursing, physical therapy, occupational
therapy, and exercise science fields to
participate in a panel discussion from 8 - 9:15
am in the auditorium.

11/8 – VOYA Career Exploration Trip
Students on this trip will learn about the world of
financing, investing, and insurance while
meeting with mentors. Careers in HR and
legal/compliance will be reviewed as well.
11/14 – Thunderbirds Sports Careers Seminar
The Thunderbirds are hosting a chance for
students to hear from various professionals in
the Sports industry followed by a game.
11/19 and 20 – Resume Writing Workshops
Cat Carter from ACC will be in the Auditorium
to share her resume writing expertise with
students.
