EVOLUTION OF A

Krystal Nielson IS CHANGING LIVES AND BIRTHING A NEW GENERATION OF WELLNESS AMBASSADORS

There is a difference between living day-to-day and being a vibrant person , aglow with all of the blessings and gifts someone can offer the world . That ’ s Krystal Nielson ’ s mission , to empower people to live a life they truly love .
by Kelly Gray
Just what holds people back from that goal ? Nielson says it stems from not believing in oneself , a trait born of conditioning , role models , what we consume , how we spend our time and with whom .
“ Spiritually , what we are feeding our hearts counts toward how we live our lives ,” says Nielson . “ When we tap in and really shift our focus on serving others , especially women , we can do the deeper work that is necessary to change .”
Through Nielson ’ s DIY Home Total Body Guide Nutrition and Workout programs , in-depth workshops and digital course series , Nielson inspires her followers to snap mental muscles into shape . Nielson joyously became a parent to daughter Andara with partner Miles Bowles last year , which added new layers of understanding , challenges and thoughtfulness to her life .
“ When I became pregnant , I was in a really vulnerable place during the pandemic and it brought up issues of self-esteem , especially walking in the footsteps of my own mom , things resurfaced and it brought up a lot of fear for me ,” said Nielson . “ I realized how much women compare themselves to others and it became clear that we all have these opportunities for transformation .”
Throughout her pregnancy and becoming a mother , Nielson also came to understand how much support new moms need . She knew she wanted to leave behind a sense of gratitude and mindfulness for her own daughter .

One glance at a photo of Nielson , impossibly fit and glowing in that way that only happens within the boundaries of good nutrition and exercise , it ’ s easy to think the blonde stunner has always lived a charmed life . But that isn ’ t the case . Nielson ’ s mom , a single mother of five , spent 25 years working in a bowling alley as a bartender . She worked tirelessly to put food on the table and raise her children . While Nielson has grown from those years , she isn ’ t without scars .
For years , Nielson wasn ’ t living a life of potential . She gave in to bad habits , ate bad food , watched too much television and felt disconnected . But she knew she had something special to bring to the world .
“ I know from experience that making changes in your life is one choice at a time , as opposed to feeling overwhelmed ,” says Nielson , who experienced her own quantum shift in 2017 taking part in Tony Robbins ’ s personal development coaching program . “ You can create a compelling vision for your future and all you need to do is believe it .”
Fitness and a vibrant mental attitude became Nielson ’ s true worth , a drive to follow what felt good beyond the surface . Making a plan became a vital component of her journey , something she continues to do to this day and encourages her clients to do .
“ Every night before I go to bed , I write out my plan for the next day , so I know what I am doing ,” says Nielson , though what seems like a simple thing is actually a weapon against stress . “ The solution to anxiousness is a plan , so your mind can stay focused and energy pointed toward goals .”
