Shock and debate arose last Monday when interim government resigned last Monday. “Prime minister Hazem Beblawi turned in his resignation and the resignation of his government to Interim President Adly Mansour who accepted” (Payne, 14). This resignation was caused by a series of strikes by government workers. Of course with controversy comes questions, was it the right decision for Egypt to have its interim government resign already?
