Egypt Response Plan 2018
The basic needs sector will provide support to the most
socio-economically vulnerable refugees through a
targeted approach, in order to improve their capacity
to be active community members and access basic
services safely and with dignity. The livelihood sector
will concentrate on skills development, entrepreneurship
and improving access to wage employment. Advocacy
with relevant actors for formal access to employment
and finance for the refugee population will continue,
which in turn is expected to lead to improved economic
opportunities for all population groups and enhance
social cohesion between refugees and host communities.
Ensuring cross-sector linkages particularly between
education, SGBV, health and basic needs, and livelihood
has become increasingly vital in addressing the needs of
refugees and impacted host communities, and promoting
social cohesion.
