MESSAGE FROM THE MGA
February brought some warm days, and firmer playing conditions to the course.
We had a great turnout of more than 60 players for the MGA Member-Member on Saturday February 15th,
the winners of which are noted in the tournament results section of the newsletter. Thank you to all that
participated!
Tournament Chairman Smith Patterson has worked hard to come up with a new format for the Match Play
tournament that begins on Saturday March 21st. You’ll play at least 2 matches, so sign up and try your luck
against your fellow members in this challenging tournament!
The MGA board held their regular monthly meeting on Wednesday February 19th at the club, with the following
agenda items being discussed.
1. Club update from GM Ryan Roberts
a. New members/billing
b. Feedback to Ryan from board, update from club on upcoming activities
c. Any other items the MGA should be aware of, and areas where we can assist the club
2. Treasurer’s Report
3. VP Update - new members, any other items
4. Tournament Chairman’s Report
a. Participation in last tournament
b. Recap of how it went
c. Update on upcoming Match Play Tournament
5. Handicap Chairman’s Report
a. Scheduled audits
b. Rules presentation

The next board meeting is scheduled to be held on Wednesday March 25th at the club following the weekly
drawings.
We notice a lot of ball marks on the greens, so we all need to redouble our efforts to fix our (and how about 3
others on each green!) ball marks properly. Below is a link to a YouTube video that shows how to properly repair
a ball mark so that the green looks better, the mark heals quicker and it provides a smoother green on which to
putt. Thank you for all of your efforts to keep the course clean and neat and playing well for members and our
