WHAT THE PLAYERS SAY
From a player perspective, what are your initial thoughts?
Player 1 This is a weird combination of Facebook apps like Zynga for betting on a separate site. It feels like it should be on Facebook, not on a site of its own. Player 2 Good prizes on offer, but I don’t understand how to get 500,000 points yet. Player 3 I like the idea of betting but not playing with real money, but I don’t really want to bet on European football games. Could they put other sports on the site? Player 4 Wouldn’t give this the time of day. Player 5 Love this concept. My initial impression is that it is an environment to bet on football.

points for credits is good. Player 2 The work gone into this is good. The fact that I can log in and notify friends that I am playing is good. I would recommend it to freidns. Player 3 I tried to log in with Facebook, but it asked me for my Facebook password… which I didn’t want to give out to a site I don’t trust…so I didn’t log in. Player 4 The following and followers needs to be improved. But the betting slip is easy.
Social media is lacking in many gaming companies – this is a good example of getting it right
shirts, iPads, Playstation 3s and Nintendo Wiis to money funded betting accounts with a string of bookies.” A good example is a signed Chelsea 2011/12 shirt worth 5,000 credits, while selected football tickets start at 500 credits. The funded betting accounts are a signi?cant feature, with operators including Betfair, Mybet and 188bet among those signed up. Mybet became Oddslife’s ?rst white label social betting partner, while the company – set up by former EveryMatrix commercial director Rasmus Sojmark – remains in discussions with other operators and media companies beyond its initial 15-strong portfolio, with a view to white label and affiliate deals. The ?rm has also hired content writers and bloggers to provide expert commentary and tips on the latest games. This copy is well written and concise, enhancing the betting experience for site users.
Note: at the time of writing, Oddslife was still in Beta. The final version of the site has since been launched.

What is missing?
Player 1 A better way to play with points or credits. Player 2 No idea if I can play for money if I click on a bookie link on the site. Player 3 Other events? It seems to me that the site concentrates on Euro-football and not other sports like horses. I think that the site could do with expansion. Also if you click on the left hand bar where the leagues are, it expands the section listing the teams – but Premier League was below the fold, so I didn’t see that it had expanded – and pressed it several times. Player 4 Join in function, and a better Facebook login process as well as other sports betting. Player 5 The ability to create a syndicate just with your friends and win real money.
What works well?
Player 1 It lets you bet without money and get free sign-up fees from bookies. Player 2 Placing bets works well, but I have to wait until the results to get more points. Player 3 The social (e.g gmail) integration is well done, and Facebook integration is good too.
What could be improved?
Player 1 Explain the points and credits more, or better still just have one or the other. I don’t think the exchanging of
