EFSConnections Fall 2023 | Page 4

Message from the

EFSC PRESIDENT

THE COLLEGE HAS ACCOMPLISHED many things since our last issue of EFSConnections and I ’ d like to share some of them with you .
Our new fiscal year budget includes no tuition increase for the 12th straight year ; we opened our second Student Housing building on the Melbourne Campus ; and we received $ 3.6 million from the Florida Legislature to start modernizing the Cocoa Campus .
The good news doesn ’ t stop there . Enrollment is rising , student apprenticeships in high-tech fields are growing and our graduates are finding success in their chosen fields .
In all , EFSC continues to establish itself as a leader in higher education in Florida , an achievement that would not be possible without you . Thank you for your friendship and support . It is making a huge difference in our community .
Sincerely ,
DR . JIM RICHEY

Message from our EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

AS WE ENTER THE 23-24 ACADEMIC YEAR , we have so much to be proud of . The Foundation awarded a recordbreaking $ 1 million in scholarships to our students last academic year , and we are working hard to reach that goal again this year .
We couldn ’ t do it without generous donations from organizations and individuals , as well as our many event sponsors .
We are also grateful to our alumni who donate regularly to the Foundation , and our faculty and staff who step up each year in support .
Every gift contributed to the success of our students and our community .
Don ’ t miss our upcoming events , including the Scholarship Golf Classic and the 8th Annual Backyard BBQ & Family Fest . We will be announcing our Distinguished Alumni in early 2024 , holding our Titan Scholarship Reception , and maybe even some new events !
We hope you enjoy the features throughout this issue and feel good about the difference the EFSC Foundation is making with your support . You mean the world to us !
Sincerely , Tonya Cherry
