EFSC AEROSPACE TECHNOLOGY STUDENTS HONE SKILLS
Aerospace Technology students spent a week showing off their skills at the recent Aerospace Maintenance Competition in Atlanta , GA . Comprised of 10 students , the EFSC team organized a “ Vacuum Loading ” event as one of the 26 events that the 84 competitive teams had to complete .
Coached by EFSC Aerospace Technology program instructor Ed Mango and Career and Technical programs Chair Dr . Michael Daniels , the EFSC team outperformed 11 professional airline and military teams ! Students completed 22 events in less than the 15-minute time limit .
UNDERGRADUATE RESEARCH HIGHLIGHTED AT ANNUAL EVENT
The spring 2023 Undergraduate Research Exhibition was hosted by the EFSC Office of Undergraduate Research ( OUR ) on Wednesday , April 26 . This annual event provides an exhibition for EFSC students conducting undergraduate research in all disciplines from all four campuses to share their findings with EFSC students , faculty , staff and the public .
Students presented research on biotoxicity of paint on terrestrial environments , antibacterial properties of essential oils , innovations of selfdriving cars , and sensory development of soft robotic prosthetics .
The next Undergraduate Research Exhibition will take place on November 29 at the EFSC Melbourne Campus Student Union .
