Place for Best Published Pitch in the Association of Florida Colleges ( AFC ) Annual Communication and Marketing Awards of Excellence .

THE EFSC CAREER SERVICES CENTER achieved a new milestone , serving over 100,000 students and alumni since its inception in 2011 .
The advent of remote coaching options in 2022 connected record numbers of students with invaluable services , including resume reviews , interview preparation , job searching and career guidance .
Among its new initiatives , the STEM Career Day featured a job fair with 36 local employers , campus tours for local high school students , and a panel of experts featuring keynote speaker David Africano , Managing Principal and Chief of Cybersecurity and Compliance Solutions for Volar Security .
The monthly Career Café ( single-employer spotlight ) events hosted at the Melbourne Campus Student Union helped connect students with immediate hiring opportunities to augment their education . Featured employers included Liberty Tax Service , Bloom Family Medicine , and the Florida Department of Revenue . EFSC ’ s virtual job board Handshake reached a new milestone of 7,500 total employers offering jobs and internships to students and alumni .
The 2nd Annual Superhero Week event at which students discovered their superhero personalities and career matches , boasted a 526 % increase in weekly assessment services on the Cocoa Campus . The event ’ s success received publication in the NCDA and NACE magazines and corresponding websites , the latter of which won 1st
“ Students didn ’ t just have fun during Superhero Week : They felt seen ,” said Casey Covel , Cocoa Campus Career Center Coordinator . “ They thanked us for not judging them for their interests in pop culture . They brought friends back with them to take the career assessment , too . Most importantly , they were empowered learning about their career and superhero matches .”
From cover letters and resumes , to job hunting and interview preparation , the Career Center proudly offers free-for-life remotefriendly and in-person services to all alumni as well , allowing former students and graduates alike to take advantage of invaluable assistance with their continued professional development .
Alumni and current students are encouraged to attend on-campus job fairs and hiring events , claim their Handshake job board accounts , and connect with the Career Center about its self-paced professional development workshops for continued growth .
